The Main Ones
Just a quick "get to know you" with the main characters you'll meet in Domhan

Zandra
Zandra Williams is a 25-year-old Atlanta, GA native. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in physics. Life should have been on the path she had decided when she was young - instead, everything got derailed on her graduation night. In one fell swoop, she went from being on the edge of greatness to at the bottom of despair. Struggling to keep her and her sister afloat, the money is barely keeping the lights on in her childhood home. On her way back from another dismal interview, she's violently hurled into the world of Domhan. Arriving on its edge, and armed with nothing but cotton pajamas and an extremely sarcastic inner monologue, Zandra will have to rediscover her lost strength and confidence to survive this world.

David
David is the son of Henry, the Premier of Education. Having lost his mother at a young age, and a father who seemed more concerned with educating the populace than caring for his only child, has turned David into a self-reliant person who carries a heavy burden. The people of Charlesburg appear torn between wanting to be on his good side and believing him to be a spy for his father. He does enjoy making people laugh but is filled with deep secrets and mysteries. Everything he says always hints at a deeper meaning. He is chosen to escort Zandra around Charlesburg and introduce her to Domhan. There may be sparks between them, but his secretive nature makes it hard to trust anything about him.

Benjamin
Benjamin is a skilled Melee Warrior, proficient in the use of a cleaver. He's well-respected throughout the Warrior Race, so much so that he often acts a go-between for the commanders and the "rank-and-file." Although serious about upholding Warrior ideals, he's filled with passion and understanding. He isn't just brute strength but has clear intellect and a yearning to be just and good. What he says is what he means and what you see is what you get with Benjamin. He is the one in charge when the Warriors first encounter Zandra in Charlesburg. Their mutual desire is clear and, as he says, she makes him to want to disobey.

Jin
Prince Jin is the son of King Rai, of the Air. As a member of royalty, one would think he was raised in the life of luxury. However, after Zandra is assigned his Warrior Guardian after her second Ascension, it quickly becomes apparent that he's more than just an arrogant, flirtatious prince. Spending time in the City of Air allows Zandra to see that their Magician citizens seem to fear their royal family nearly as much as they fear their Warrior counterparts. The Prince bears the burden of a kingdom on his shoulders and a father demanding he be perfect and powerful and just like him. Their Binding may mean that trust is facilitated, but it won't come easy. Still, as they grow closer - more than sparks will fly as they come to rely on each other.

The Premiers
The Premiers are the governing authority of the Mortal Race. Henry is the Premier of Education, Margaret is the Premier of Food, and Edward is the Premier of Security. They work in tandem to ensure the Mortals residing in Charlesburg are protected and looked after. Each has their own story of loss that pushed them to their respective roles - Henry lost his wife, Margaret her child, and Edward also lost his wife. Zandra's arrival certainly changed things for everyone as more attention was placed on them than they'd care to have to deal with it. Margaret was wary, but polite. Henry liked her wit but distrusted how his son - David - acted. And Edward saw her as a warning of things to come.

The Council of Five Royals
The Council of Five Royals is the governing authority of the Magician Race. Each of the five elements - water, air, fire, earth, and mind - is governed by a Royal family. It is a combination of kings and queens, but the ruler of Mind is always the tiebreaker and is always a Queen. It is currently three Queens and two Kings. They attempt to govern the Magician Race with little problem, but individual interests can cause their own disagreements. Ruth is the Queen of Fire, whose colors tend to be reds and oranges. Rachel is the Queen of Earth, whose colors tend to be dark brown and green. Emma is the Queen of Mind, whose color is purple.

Rai is the King of Air, whose colors are white and pale blue. Santiago rounds out the Council and the is second King, presiding over Water with its teal and blue colors. Once the Council learned of Zandra's arrival, they summoned for her and debated for weeks about what it meant. Two of the five wanted to kill her immediately, fearful that it would throw their carefully balanced world into chaos. Ultimately, they deemed that she had been Fated to join the Warrior Race, based on the skill she showed during a fight in Mortal Territory. Still, their wariness over her presence never dissipated - even for those who voted for her to live.
